According to the press service of the Association of Milk Producers, from January to October this year, Ukraine imported 3.4 thousand head of cattle, which is 62% more than in the same period in 2019.
The purchase of cattle cost $ 7.7 million. And this is 71.4% more costs than were spent in the same period in 2019. Among the main exporters of cattle to Ukraine:
- Denmark - purchased cattle for $ 3.2 million;
- Hungary - by $ 1.5 million;
- The Czech Republic - by $ 1.4 million.
On the other hand, the volume of cattle exports from Ukraine from January to October this year decreased by 29% compared to the same period last year, and amounted to 64.9 thousand heads. In monetary terms, cattle were sold abroad for $ 34.4 million. And this is 24.4% less than in the same period of 2019. Among the main importers of Ukrainian cattle:
- Uzbekistan - sold for $ 10.3 million;
- Lebanon - by $ 6.4 million;
- Azerbaijan - by $ 4 million.
