According to the portal agronews.ua with reference to the report of the State Statistics Service, in Ukraine we can notice an increase in production of some types of livestock products. The report of the State Statistics Service covers the period from January to October 2020, and is published this week.
The increase in meat production and sales is currently due to an increase in the volume of slaughter of poultry (by 3.1%) and small cattle (by 4.4%) in the period from January to October 2020. Poultry production during this time amounted to a live weight of 1.322 million tons, sheep and goats - 2.1 thousand tons. However, pork and beef production decreased during this period.
In total, according to the report, from January to October this year were sold live weight of 1.874 million tons of farm animals. And this is 0.2% more than in the same period in 2019.
