ASF has become an obstacle to pork imports from Germany to Ukraine

On the territory of Germany in Brandenburg region, a disease among wild pigs with African plague (ASF) was discovered. The case occurred on September 10, 2020 and was registered by the European Union animal disease notification system. This message is transmitted by the State Food and Consumer Service. To date, this is the only case of plague recorded on the territory of the state.

Following the decrees of the Animal Health Code of the World Organization for Animal Health, taking into account the legislative framework of Ukraine, on September 10, 2020, the Chief State Inspector introduced restrictions on the import of animals and food products that have not been processed in accordance with Ukrainian laws.
