In January-June 2020, Ukraine was able to export dairy products worth $ 116.2 million, which is almost a quarter lower than last year.
It is emphasized that shipments to the foreign markets of Ukrainian condensed milk, cream (by 36%) and butter (by 43%) were reduced to a greater extent. Moreover, milk and condensed cream were sent abroad by 22.8% less, fermented milk products - by 22.3%, cheese - by 17%. Prior to this increase, only whey (+ 0.3%) showed a general negative background, a slight increase was caused by ice cream - 6.1%. The largest indicators were the growth of casein exports (14.2%).
Analysts believe that higher rates of imported goods have become real due to quarantine measures, but export quotas for Ukrainian producers have not been revised by the authorities.
