State Service for Consumer Protection published requirements for export of poultry meat to Georgia

According to the current legislation of Georgia, imported poultry meat must have restrictions on the water content and be accompanied by a document confirming compliance.

It is reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Frozen and quick-frozen poultry meat can be exported to Georgia if the water content does not exceed 5%. This requirement is valid until January 1, 2025.

According to the report, from January 1, 2025, specific requirements for water content should be equivalent to the Regulation of the COMMISSION (EU) No. 543/2008 of June 16, 2008.
