According to the State Fiscal Service, in the period from January to December 2019, Ukraine exported 31.31 thousand tons of beef.
The export amount is $ 94.4 million. Comparing the data for the ten months of 2018, the value of imports was 867 tons in the amount of $ 3.86 million, which is 36 times less than the export in 2019.
In addition, export of fresh or chilled cattle meat from Ukraine amounts to 13.6 thousand tons, estimated at $ 38 million. In the period from January to October, the following countries became the dominant importers of cattle meat: Belarus took the leading position with a production volume of 10 thousand tons ($ 29.02 million); 3 thousand tons ($ 8.71 million) – Turkey; Azerbaijan - 58 tons ($ 167 thousand); other countries - 37 tons ($ 106 thousand). It can also be noted that in December the UAE was included in the top three key importers of Ukrainian beef.
According to data, over 10 months of 2019, the export of frozen Ukrainian cattle meat amounted to 18.5 thousand tons worth $ 55.96 million.
Key importers of Ukrainian beef: Kazakhstan - 6.71 thousand tons ($ 20.7 million); Azerbaijan - 3.82 thousand tons ($ 11.78 million); Belarus - 3.73 thousand tons ($ 11.49 million); others - 3.89 thousand tons ($ 11.98 million).
