For the 9 months of 2019, in Ukraine, 47 cases of African swine fever (ASF) were officially registered.
Compared to the last year, it is less on 79 cases. 126 cases of ASF were recorded In January-October 2018. This is evidenced by the statistics of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
If we talk about territorial reference, then outbreaks were observed in 18 regions of the country. At the same time, 31 cases were registered among domestic animals, 10 – among wild animals, and 6 were infected objects.
In 2019, an active process is being carried out to improve the health of the population points, as well as the ASF infection. A total of 56 of them were rehabilitated, while the quarantine was reluctantly known from 11 rehabilitated villages.
