The representatives of Vortex Plus LLC participated in a roundtable aimed at discussing the impact of the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine No. 553 November 16, 2018 on the import of Ukrainian foodstuffs into the production and consumption area.
The event was organized by Association «All-Ukrainian Association of Importers of Meat and Meat Products».
The representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (B. Kobal), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy (D. Moroz, O. Siroshstan), heads of economic departments of the embassies of Germany and Poland also took part in the round table discussion.
Ukrainian companies-importers of meat products, processing plants of the meat industry, experts, representatives of international organizations, professional associations also took part in the discussion of the issues.
According to the representatives of Association «All-Ukrainian Association of Importers of Meat and Meat Products» and the importing companies, this Order excludes the possibility of importing poultry mechanically deboned meat (MDM), which is more than 100 000 tons annually. In case of stopping the import of this product, Ukraine may lose more than 300 million UAH, and the shortage of goods will lead to an increase in prices.
