According to the Association for the Control of Milk Producers, in June export of dairy products increased significantly (by 4.9%) compared to last year and amounted to $25.7.
Such a rapid increase in sales was provided by condensed milk and milk powder. The growth in trade in these products began in May, and today these goods do not give up leadership positions. In June 2019 6 thousand tons were sold to the export market, that is 36.6% more than last year (4.4 thousand tons were sold in 2018). This fact is reported by Ukrainian Analyst V. Andriyets.
During this period, there was also an increase in the export of milk, as well as cream. Their sales grew by 4.6% compared to last year and amounted to 1.7 thousand tons, but, despite this, the export of other dairy products unfortunately decreased.
As the analyst emphasizes, the trade in butter has decreased significantly (up to 1.5 thousand tons). This is 61.3% less than last June and 148% less than in 2017. This situation is affected by European prices. For example, from the beginning of 2019 to May 2019, European exporters produced 973.9 thousand tons of this product.
