The turnover in the food trade between Ukraine and the EU for 2018 reached $ 8 billion.
The export of agricultural products to the countries of EU also has grown and exceeded the mark of $ 5.5 billion.
According to O. Trofimtseva, the signing of a number of documents about trading between Ukraine and the EU has brought a lot of benefits.
For several last seasons, the main buyers of domestic products were the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Products that are most popular among European buyers are: corn, rapeseed, poultry, wheat, vegetables and legumes.
Last season the import of products of this category has increased almost by 1/5 and amounted to $ 2.4 billion. The most popular imported products are chocolate, tobacco, animal feed, meat and alcoholic beverages.
