According to the State service of Ukraine for food safety and consumer protection the fact of infection and death of a pig was found out on the territory of neuropsychiatric boarding-school at the end of the last month in village М. Starosilla (Cherkasy region).
Besides, the cases of illness of pigs are fixed in the personal economies of citizens in villages Nova Pokrovka and Vasillevka (Odesa region). The same situation was observed in village Gilcha (Rivne region). After independent examination specialists set a diagnosis «African cholera of hogs».
It is known that the high rates of infection of animals are observed in many countries of Europe. But Poland is an undoubted leader in the expansion of this disease, where more than thousand cases of death of pigs have already been counted from the beginning of this year.
