The business trip to China, organized by the Food Council (UFEB) was quite productive.
The result was a well-developed relationship with more than 50 traders interested in sugar from Ukraine. Such statement was made by the head of analysts of NASU (National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine) "Ukrtsukor" Ruslana Butylo , she was a representative of sugar producers in Ukraine at the HKTDC Food Expo 2017.
According to experts, this trip was successful and will play a significant role in the relations between domestic sugar producers and importers from the Eastern Eurasian markets, not to mention about additional external investments in Ukrainian sugar production. Considering the constant increase of population in this region, sugar will be in demand.
According to statistics, export figures are surprising. Almost for the past year, 751,000 tons of sugar was delivered on foreign markets. The main buyers were the African and Eurasian states. So, to keep the indicators at a record level, it needs to consolidate positions in new markets.
From the first month of this year, domestic production received positive feedback about the export of "indirect products" of sugar production (beet pulp) in China. Commission from China was pleased our producers with such decision after the inspection of Ukrainian sugar enterprises.
