May 10, 2016 Veterinary medicine service recorded death nearly two dozen pigs at one of local farms on Western Ukraine.
The accident was found in Dunaevetsky district of Khmelnitsky region. Thanks the analysis of sampled biological material was diagnosed - African swine fever (ASF).
After the incident, on Tuesday, May 11, 2016, the State emergency anti-epizootic commission approved an action plan to eliminate the outbreak of ASF. The necessary measures are taken for preventing ASF spreading around the localized territory.
We remind that from January 2016, it was registered 8 cases of ASF (Poltava, Odessa, Zhytomyr, Kirovograd regions).
Previously, outbreaks of ASF in the territory of Khmelnitsky region were not registered.
