As it is reported in the media, Ukraine opened its markets for producers of beef and pork from Canada.
In September 2015 Ukrainian representatives have inspected Canadian businesses for compliance with the certification standards. After inspection 15 pork and beef production enterprises have been allowed to export their products to Ukraine. The Ministry of Agriculture of Canada expects that the export of meat to Ukraine will bring up to 50 million dollars annually.
Also the Agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and Canada is being prepared. This document will cancel all non-agricultural tariffs on Canadian goods and some tariffs on agricultural products, such as beef, some pork, legumes, cereals, fish and seafood, processed food, animal feed and canola oil.
